Bonjour!

I’m Cassie, a country girl at heart. I grew up in the mountains of Colorado. After studying Communication, English, and Education, I journeyed to France to teach in elementary schools and travel Europe.

After returning to the U.S., my life fell apart in many ways. But I’m learning to see that when things fall apart, God is never absent. Instead, He takes the pieces of my broken life and builds something delightfully new. It’s not what I planned, but if I allow myself to be changed, I see His beauty in the newness.

Now back in the majestic Rocky Mountains, some of my joys include growing food and flowers, meeting new friends, writing for my local newspaper, mountain hikes, maxing out my library card, riding my horse, experimenting with new recipes, teaching children, and rich conversations with those wise in years.
