Mix up this quck, delicious, and warming breakfast with lots of flavor and heartiness. Combining the peanut butter with the oats makes a complete protein.
*Pour into microwavable bowl:
-1/2 c. oats
-2 tsp. flaxseed
-1 heaping Tbsp. craisins or raisins OR 1/4 c. diced apple
-1 heaping Tbsp. walnuts or pecans
-1/2 tsp. cinnamon
-1/2 c. milk of your choice (almond, rice, coconut, etc.)
*Microwave for 1 min.
*Add 1 Tbsp. coconut oil
*Microwave for 30 seconds (just until coconut oil is melted)
*Stir in 1 Tbsp. of peanut butter, almond butter, or sunflower seed butter
*Sprinkle with another dash of cinnamon.
(You may need to add more milk depending on what kind of oats you use. Quick cooking oats tend to absorb more moisture, resulting in a creamier texture and a little extra milk needed. Old-fashioned oats tend to absorb less moisture and remain more separated, so you shouldn’t need extra milk.)
